Tea Party Events and Catering Recommendations

Our floor plan is unique:  unlike most tearooms which have all tables in one open space, Tea at Fancy That offers small seating areas that are not situated near each other.  This is great for cozy tea time but not the best layout for events/groups, when everyone wants to be together in the same room.  The largest party we accommodate is six, and sittings are 90 minutes.

If you're planning a shower or other tea time event, there are some great options in the area for tea with larger groups.  Some of our personal favorites for private tea parties include:  Blithewold Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum in Bristol, RI; Val's English Tea Shop, Greenville, RI; Etagere in Amherst, NH.  This is by no means an exhaustive list, as there are so many fun locations in Mass and beyond, and each one has something special to offer.  You can see a listing by State at DestinationTea.com

When planning, just remember to ask the location in advance how long your teatime will be, as many tea houses have timed sittings but some can/will afford more time for larger groups.
